A new build luxury student accommodation scheme building on our expertises within the East Midlands. The development consists of 66 self-contained studios with ancillary accommodation such as gym, movie room, internal and external communal spaces as well as a laundry room and trunk stores, arranged across three independent buildings along the canal Side edge and opposite Nottingham Castle Rock.

Leonard Design Architects initially undertook the conceptual design, Nottingham based practice, and MAS involvement was for the RIBA plan of works stages 3-7.

The development contains high quality finishes such as polished concrete floors, tactile textured wallpaper and furniture from excellent interior brands such as Hay, Muuto, LucePlan providing a timeless urban interior.

The original concept we saw it as three narrow boats docked along the canal, which translated successfully in the built form on a very tight site. Part of the site required reclaiming from the canal where site edge eroded over the years. The scheme is completed and occupied and our new clients are very excited to achieve their product very successfully and skilfully.
